Feeling Alone and Depressed : a Self-Analysis




Each one of us feel alone or depressed every now and then, regardless of how many people we talk to.


Today's busy and stressful lives leave a little room for us to feel content, nourish our soul and focus on one's emotional care.



Depression has become a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act.


Long-term depression also leads to sadness, loneliness & people feel alone despite having everyone around.



Consider a scenario… there is a death of your loved one or your relationship ended with a person with whom you were emotionally & mentally dependent on. Such a situation may lead you into depression & makes you feel alone.



You can see everyone around you but can’t express your grief or sadness which takes you into immense sadness & depression.


After dealing with such type of situations your behaviour becomes so aggressive that it also takes away your peace & push you further you into depression.



Long term effects of depression -



People suffering from this kind of situations faces various kinds of problems such as


  • sleeping disorder or loss of sleep

  • different mood swings

  • change in appetite

  • bad dreams

  • experiencing physical problems

At its worst, depression can lead to suicide.



Major types of depression are:


  • Persistent Depressive Disorder (PDD)

  • Major Disorder

  • Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

  • Bipolar Disorder



Some things which tell that you are sad & depressed


  • unable to think properly

  • not focusing on routine work

  • thinking of harmful thoughts

  • experiencing mood swings

  • not interacting

  • feeling worthless

  • not sharing your thoughts

  • being hopeless in every situation
